Letters, 1846-1847.

Letters written from Boston and Dorchester to Shaker Village in Pittsfield, New Hampshire containing family and neighborhood news; mention is made of the Mexican-American war and of ship fever. Four of the letters are addressed to Eliza L. Cogswell and one is from her. Included with the letters is the 1812 edition of Thomas Sheppard's "The Sincere convert, and Sound believer" (cataloged separately).
